The last few days, I’ve been speaking about how Jesus Christ asked Peter to loan Him his boat to preach from it. If we truly want something to happen in our boat, we’ve got to allow Christ into it and push it off from dry land; employee and customer manipulation, unkept promises and offers, etc. There is a code by which to manage our homes and businesses and it’s found in the Word. You must walk in integrity within what God’s given us.
Walking under the Holy Spirit goes beyond just praying and fasting, it is a complete life stile, more than just merely a way of ministering. You must understand that it has to become an essential part of your life.

While the newspapers are filled with news of the storms’ terror, many people across our nation and the world are experiencing storms that are just as devastating, yet not as obvious: storms of divorce, disease or death; storms of betrayal, bankruptcy or blindness; storms of abuse, adultery or addiction; storms that leave shattered lives, broken hearts and shredded hopes; storms that turn dreams into nightmares.
Recently while watching Pat Robertson on the 700 Club, the Lord put something on my heart that I want to share with you.
Pat talked about the importance of the tithe, as mentioned in Malachi 3. While I was listening to him, I felt strongly that I needed to teach on the seven blessings of the tithe, too, for like Pat Robertson, I believe the tithe is very important to the Lord Jesus.
First of all, Malachi 3:10 teaches: “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”
During my childhood I was abused sexually, emotionally, verbally and physically. Many of you have also been abused, or you deal with someone in your life who comes from an abusive, dysfunctional background.
What does abuse mean? It means “to misuse, to use improperly, to use up or to injure by maltreatment.” The effects of abuse can be devastating and long-lasting. Many people never recover from it. Let me give you a brief definition of the four types of abuse.
