Acts 8: We are going to try to acquire the knowledge about the movement of the Spirit, but don’t even dream about studying this. While some people study it, I minister it; others study theology, but I listen to Him. He is a person, not a thing; he is someone. He does something, but He isn’t something. He came down in the shape of a Dove, but He isn’t a Dove; He burns like fire, but isn’t fire; gets you drunk like wine, but isn’t wine; can make you speak in tongs, but isn’t a tong. He is a real person, tangible.

I was speaking to the musicians, asking them why they sing songs that say things like “although my hands can’t touch you,” yes we can, we can touch him When are we going to be in agreement with what we want? We sing what we want. We sing that with empty hands we come before the Lord, and the Bible tells us not to come before him empty handed. It is a problem to sing when you don’t know the scriptures. The word tells us here that the Spirit filled Jesus.

Filled, guided in the power. If you notice, the transition between God filling you and you walking in his power is being guided by the Holy Spirit.

Acts 8:29

The Spirit told Philip, “Go to that chariot and stay near it”. The Spirit can guide us to specific things such as this one. Get near that car, go to a certain neighborhood, and go to someone’s house. That is the level at which we all want to be guided by the Spirit. The Spirit can give us direction, He can guide us, but he can’t give us guidance. He can give you instructions. Here is a specific moment in which the Spirit spoke words that were neither nowhere in the Old nor New Testament. In spite of that, it was the Holy Spirit who called Philip and told him “go to that chariot”.

There are people that want to be guided by the Spirit violating the laws of the Spirit. Philip knew, that the instruction was to go and preach to everybody, and he who believed and was baptized, would be saved. The message that Philip took to those people, of high social status, and what he presented, was the message of salvation. But many want to be guided by the Spirit to not preach the message of salvation. The Spirit guides us to present the gospel. If we want to keep the Spirit as our guide, and keep the revival, we have to continue to do that which God established his church for. The Model is important. After speaking, something supernatural happens.

39 When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Philip away, and the eunuch did not see him again, but went on his way rejoicing. 40 Philip, however, appeared at Azotus and traveled about, preaching the gospel in all the towns until he reached Caesarea

I am guided by the Spirit to announce the gospel. Some people call it a revival to be locked in a closet all day long, go out and speak about Jesus. Say: “Receiving the anointing is receiving work”. There are people who have more anointing than I, but work less. You will not be measured by the amount of anointing you have, but by the results obtained with the anointing given to you. As you use it, his manifestation will grow. Many of you haven’t grown because you haven’t shared with others.

Acts 10:19-20

While Peter was still thinking about the vision, the Spirit said to him, “Simon, three men are looking for you. So get up and go downstairs. Do not hesitate to go with them, for I have sent them.”

13 Then a voice told him, “Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.”

The Lord had let down to earth a large sheet filed with unclean animals and Peter says: “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean”. We can see how the Spirit can guide us to very specific things. It could be that today as you are on your way home, the Spirit tells you “go out of your way and deliver this word”. That is Fantastic, but the problem is that people only want to hear that from the Spirit, but they don’t want their lives to be guided by Him. I’ve heard the voice of the Holy Spirit in many specific things. I remember a Christmas, on the 25th I woke up and the Holy Spirit told me: “I want you to get on your car and to go out, I will guide you”. I got on my car and saw that there was an opened McDonalds and thought about having some coffee. But the Holy Spirit told me to keep going, that He would guide me. He told me to go to the neighborhood where I grew up and to park my car there. That’s what I did. When all of a sudden, a friend from my childhood came out, and asked me: “What did you come here for?” “To visit you,” I said. She replied: “You came in the right moment; my son has just been killed”. Sure it can be done!

I was on Nights of Glory praying in my bedroom and jus outside, was the person who was going to minister the music that night. But the Lord showed me how the service would go.

Being there, he shows me three people that World be touched by the Spirit. Since he showed me the names, people, and how they will come dressed to the crusade. When I go out, I could only see the feet of the one who would be healed. When we were in the car, I told him: “You will see how in the service, as a determined time has gone by, a woman will come, followed by a man…” I gave him 3 signs. I stood up there to minister, just as I’m standing here today. And all of a sudden, the woman as I said it, “there’s one”. Then he touches the other man and I tell him, “two out of two”. And then, came the third one. I told him: “I told you, and you are the fourth one”. The Spirit can guide us in so many precise details, but find a problem in people who over spiritualize themselves. The gospel is already mystic, but they only want to live like this. He won’t kiss the girl if the Lord doesn’t tell him to; he won’t go to work if the Lord doesn’t guide him. The Spirit isn’t guiding them anywhere.

Luke 5:17

One day as he was teaching, Pharisees and teachers of the law, who had come from every village of Galilee and from Judea and Jerusalem, were sitting there. And the power of the Lord was present for him to heal the sick.

Don’t even dream about being guided by the Spirit without reading this word. The power was there to heal. Jesus was doing what is right. You might be teaching and have over you the power to heal, but you are not healing. You must learn to listen to the voice of the Spirit. You might minister God’s power out of the time in which He wants you to minister it. You have to learn to listen.

24 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins….” He said to the paralyzed man, “I tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.”

What causes God’s power to be ministered? Is it a teaching, a preaching or an order? The power that was upon him was manifested when he taught or when he ordered? The miracles, healings, are an order. You won’t learn to walk being guided by the Spirit or to be Ander the power of the Holy Spirit unless you learn about authority. I can spend an endless amount of time teaching here. Many people want to be guided by the Spirit, but many of them don’t respect authorities, nor minister under authority. Do you remember when Jesus helped a man with more faith and found a Roman? He recognized authority and told him: “Say the Word and my servant will be healed”. This means there are two words you have to learn to administer: The word, which is the preaching and the teaching that spreads or manifests God’s power. The power was there to heal, but it wasn’t healing until Jesus gave the word. The teaching and the preaching you will learn, reading what Jesus said, but the Word of authority, you must build the character in which the power of God is in. He was being guided there, He knew the power was there, and when the right time came, he used it. He could have done different, healing him and then teach. You have no idea how much I struggled with this. Some people just spiritualize everything.

It was through this that the Lord taught me the order to minister. There has to be an order in your cell group. If by any chance, while you teach the Holy Spirit starts to fall, you better stop talking, because the Spirit is the one in charge there. As long as he doesn’t, you must know how to keep the order of ministration.

Once, when somebody’s child was sick, I heard the voice of the Holy Spirit that told me “have him suck on your pinky finger”. I did so, and as I preached God’s power was pouring. Dying to oneself is not locking your self in a room to weep. Many of the times when the Spirit guides you, the things that had to happen, won’t happen, until He is sure to have your obedience whether it happens or not and how dead you really are, then things will start to happen. You are aware that I teach you to minister, t olive a good life, but the Kingdom of Heaven is Supernatural. When the Lord asked me to purchase the land to build, without money, I saw nothing more than His silhouette and then he just disappeared. He left me talking to myself, so we purchased and began to build with no money. Who said what we need is money? We need faith, so that it can be through God’s might, through trusting in his promises.

Romans 8:6

6The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace; 7the sinful mind is hostile to God. It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. 8Those controlled by the sinful nature cannot please God.

Guided by the Spirit. I will walk according to the Spirit. What does it mean to walk by the Spirit? I have read this text in many versions but the one that amazes me more is the King James Version. It status that God’s children are those who Walk after the spirit, these are the ones who are guided by the Spirit. I will walk alter the spirit. You will always live between the flash and the spirit, always between the two. So it says that those who are guided by the Spirit are the ones that walk after the Spirit, not the flesh. Your flesh tells you: “Don’t ask for forgiveness”, and then the same flesh starts to feel sad, and you begin to feel an awful humiliation before asking for forgiveness. And the voice of the Spirit tells you: “Go and do it,” now you stand between two voices. If you don’t start with that, you won’t be able to move on to the following level, of being guided by the Spirit. You better begin walking alter the Spirit or He won’t be able to guide you.

Those who follow the flesh are not God’s children. The bible tells us that the works of the flesh are manifested, they are adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lust, jealousy, rage, fights, dissentions, and that those who practice such things, will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven, much less will that person be guided by the Spirit. This starts in your daily life, where you have to make up your mind between the flesh and the Spirit. You might say: “I’ll show this person who I am!” Did the Spirit tell you this? But later you want to perform miracles. That is why we see many flesh driven people speaking in tongs, but that is all they achieve. You must walk after the Holy Spirit. Someone says that the Lord told them to go open a missionary ministry in Spain, and they ask him about his wife and he answers “she will have to learn to live with it”. That is the kina of spiritual mess we have now a days, and it is why we don’t see a revival in many places. I assure you that today you saw the Spirit and heard the flesh. Who’d you go after? You are being guided by the Spirit. Following the Spirit will get you in trouble, but by following the flesh, you will never get out of them.

You will face problems either way. I prefer to follow the Holy Spirit. You will always abstain yourself from one or the other. This is the clue for holiness, it’s not a condition you live in, but a decision you make every moment, every day. It isn’t just in you saying “I am Holy”. Holiness is “I have choice A or B”. If some one tells you “Give us $10,000 and you got the business” and the Spirit tells you “If you don’t do it, I promise you better deals”. And you decide not to do it. We all go through this, everybody. But we don’t all decide to do the same things. Make the right decision by the Spirit, practice it, and alter a few months of doing so, you will start to see the differences between your life and that of those who were in the same circumstances as you were but went with the flesh. Then it will happen as the scripture says, that taking care of things of the flesh only brings death, but things of the Spirit, bring life and peace.

It says here that through the Spirit we should kill the works of the flesh in ourselves. There is a different version that says that the Works of the flesh should be afflicted in us by the Spirit. What does that mean? It turns out that you loved to gossip and say things about others. This is the position in which you are born again and have tose works of the flesh, and you know what you are doing. There comes a day in which you are with your friends, you prayed that morning, and first thing you know something wrong is coming out of your mouth. Five minutes later you feel the rebuking telling you that you made a mistake. When you want to be holy, that can feel bad. When you g oto your bedroom at night and say, Forgive me, I didn’t want to do it. Two weeks later you may be hanging out with friends again and you’re trying to hold back, but all of a suden you say it again. You then go, ask for forgiveness, and your flesh starts to diminish. Three weeks later, you’re finding that their conversations actually bother you, and you distance yourself from those friends. The works of the flesh called gossip has died on you, but now you have the work of condemning others. In the next conversation, when they are talking something that is wrong, you get up and invite them to your home. Then you feel so good and the Spirit starts finding someone He will talk to one day and will give instruction to.
You come to the Lord and you were one of those that was only looking at women. Now you say No. You go with your wife, and you look at her and say, Lord, I have my own, the one you gave me. Look at your own, not the one who isn’t tours. That is making the works of the flesh die. How many of you, based on these two examples, can say I had works of the flesh as you describe them and now they are dominated, thanks to the Spirit.
