We are here to be taught how to go forward in our life. How to do things well done on time, break paradigms, and seek experts and quality control.

“It is silly to try to do things in the same way to get different results. If you want a different result, surely you have to do things in a different way you have been doing things your entire life.”

I was talking about what we have called “Jesus’ First Miracle”, that was to convert water in wine. When Jesus does this, the Bible says that it is the beginning of signs that the Lord made.

There are signs, miracles and healings in the Bible. A sign is read, as a traffic signal “it is allowed to turn in U”, “parking is allowed”
“Stop” “Turn to the left”. To be able to drive a car you have to learn to read signals, so it is necessary to be driven in life, we have to learn to read signs.

The first thing that Jesus made, was not recorded as a miracle, even though it was one. But what this kind of miracles do, is tell us that something is there as a is a sign. When Jesus sent the wine to the master of the feast in John 2:10, he said this wine is outstanding.
You are different to everybody else! It is used that all hosts give first the best wine, and then when people is satisfied it doesn’t matter, they serve the cheapest wine. But you have kept the best for last.

When I asked the Lord why he had done the best wine for last, when everybody was drunk, he told me: “I do not know how to do it in another way”. Jesus was not able to do an inferior wine, cheaper, because He doesn’t know how to do bad things. Jesus is only able to do the best, and Jesus has the best for you. That is why when He came to give you life, he gave it abundantly and that is why when the Father loved Earth He did not give any thing else, but his Son, the best in Heaven. We must be imitators of the Lord, that when we do things we always may do the best. Do things in an outstanding way to become different from everybody else.

The master of the feast said to the groom, “you are different from the rest of the world”. What will make a difference of you from the rest is the way you do things. If you want to be different to other people in your office, you may do things different, don’t ask to be treated different if you don’t do things in a different way. If you do things as everybody else do, don’t complain because you are treated in the same way. And, if you do things in a worst manner, don’t you complain because you are treated in a worst way. Why should they treat you in a different way? Why should you be treated in the same way if you do the things worst than others? Many of the so called unfair things in life, result to be the fair things of life. It is fair that who do his or her best makes more money. It is fair that who does things well be promoted. But, it is not fair that some body is promoted just because has many years working in that company.

There was once a vice-marketing manager in a business, working there for 20 years. The marketing manager died and when this happened, the vice-manager came to his wife and said: The marketing manager has died, and who do you think will become now the new marketing manager? Surely I’ll become because I have been for 20 years the vice-manager. During two weeks different people were qualified for this position.

Some weeks later there was a meeting to make known who was becoming the new marketing manager. The vice-manager bought a new suit, dressed very elegant to attend the meeting, and the Senior Manager introduced a young man, that had been working in the company only for 4 years, as the new marketing manager. The vice-manager was so disappointed with this decision taken by the company, that at the end of the meeting the Senior Manager noted that he was sad, and asked him: “What’s wrong? I see you sad.” And he said: “How is it that I’m not going to be sad? I have been here for 20 years as vice-president, and, why I wasn’t promoted? The Senior Manager said, “The first year you made things different, then you have been 19 years doing the same. This man in four years every year has done things in a different way. The company needs him more in that position than to you.” He thought it was unfair. But if a person that is not able is promoted, soon many people will be unemployed because the company will go to bankruptcy.

Jesus served and outstanding wine and it was said to the groom: “you are different from the rest.” But it was Jesus not the groom who served the wine. How has Jesus treated you? Hadn’t him treated you different from others? How do you know it? You know it because of the things he has done in you. You must commit to do everything well done to be different from others.

How do we get to do things different from others?

Jesus’ first miracle had nothing to do with people needs, because to do wine is not a first need, but it’s a luxury. It’s hard to believe this because our subconscious ministered by religion and for bad concepts that some people have about Jesus, says that it is impossible that Jesus has done something that is luxury. If Jesus is not able to do a luxury you are in sin with all your luxuries. Why do you believe that Jesus is not able to do luxury if he did the Universe? Does it mean that the Creator of grapes is not able to do a good wine? Is the Creator of earth not able to do a good grape? You yourself are a luxury. You have two eyes even when you are able to see just with one.

You have two kidneys when you are able to function with one, so you are a luxury item. That is why you don’t believe in yourself, because you don’t believe to be done by the Creator that does things perfectly well done. Look at your skin. Look at your bones, your digestive system, your breathing system.

You are not able to renew your mind because you know things but don’t dare to believe them. Wine is a luxury, so Jesus’ first miracle was not to meet needs but a luxury, because the Lord is telling you: “I am able to give you a luxury. How I won’t be able to give you all the rest? If Jesus made a luxury, won’t He give bread and food?

To do excellent things we must consider some points:

1. To acknowledge the time to do things

John 2:4 Jesus said to her: Woman, what does your concern have to do with me? My time has not yet come.

Jesus had to think if he did wine or not for that party. Lord, did you make the best wine for those people that were already drunk. And he answered me, “I just know how to do the best. It is their problem how they use it.” Jesus gave you life and life is not bad, and you have used it for bad things. If you can use life, body, sight, hands for bad things, how aren’t you going to be able to use wine for bad things? It is not a matter if wine being bad, it is a matter of how you use it, as life itself. What do you use life for? You went to study to fail. You got a job to loose it. Is it for this that you use life and the intelligence that God gave you? Do you use your body to put in it every bad thing? Do you use money to buy food that makes you sick? God gave you money, but you decide how to use it. How do you use everything that God has give you? What do you use your wife for? Do you honor her, take care of her, love her, or value her? Or, do you treat her as a maid that has to pay for the expenses you cover at bed?
That is to corrupt marriage. What do you use good things God has given you for?

Galatians 4:4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law.

Acts 2:1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.

When the day had come God sent his son, when the time came, God made wine and when the day had come the Holy Spirit came down. The three understand time, the excellent things are done in correct time. It isn’t just a matter to give a good report, it has to be given on time, or excellence is lost. It isn’t just a matter of things well done, but to do them on time.

Ecclesiastes 12:1 Remember now your Creator in the days of your youth, Before the difficult days come, And the years draw near when you say, “I have no pleasure in them”:

If you remember about your Creator in the days of your youth, you prepare yourself for the difficult days. You have to wait for the time to marry. Somebody taught me that the correct time to marry is when you are ready to make money that somebody else will spend, when you are ready not to eat, so that somebody else can eat, and when you are ready to die so another person can live. If you are ready to do this, so you are ready to get married. Time will be marked by your character. On the other hand, we have those that are waiting to have a home fully furnished, with the last item in technology to be able to marry, and that is a problem because the first day you have problems in finances you will get divorced because you set your marriage on money, your marriage is to be based on your character, not on your passions.

What do we do to understand time? Don’t let time to run when you have it there. Don’t stop studying when it is time to study, because you could be able to study later, but it will be harder to get it, because you are doing it out of time. You have to do it on time, so when you have to work you won’t be diverted. It is very important to understand time.

2. Consult an expert

John 2:5 His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”

You must be humble to understand that there is always a person from whom to learn. You learn from the expert, not from the inexperienced.
Whenever I want to do things the best way I can, I consult an expert in what I want to do. You always have to listen the expert. Otherwise, what you do looses value. Listen the experts. Don’t think of yourself as an expert, be wise and humble, and always seek for advice!

If you want that your children to listen to you, become an expert in what you do. Be an expert in marriage, dating, good treatment of people, good home, so even if at the beginning they don’t give you the reason, they will at the end. But if you don’t become an expert in what they need, how are they going to listen to you?

Mary said, “Whatever He says to you, do it, because if what you want is a miracle, it is with him.” How hard it is to do what somebody else asks us to do. Why are there always people that contradict everything?

3. Change bad manners

John 2:6 Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece.

How does Jesus dare to take the waterpots for the Jewish purification to full them of wine? The Lord is an expert in breaking paradigms. How can you see a miracle in your life if you don’t obey what Jesus asks you to do, even when what he is asking for is ridiculous and absurd to your mind? How many manners or habits are there in your life? How many things have you turned into manners or habits and you don’t want to break them to do things better? It is silly to want to do things in the same way to get different results. If you want a different result surely you have to do things in a different way you have done them in your entire life. If the business is doing the same, it is because you are the same. When you change, business is going to change. Make changes. Lets change your manners, get good manners.

How many things do you have to break in your life to excel?

4. Quality Control
John 2:8 And He said to them, “Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast.” And they took it.

Quality must be compare with something. Jesus said: “take it to the master of the feast.” Jesus respected authority. He didn’t jumped upon it. He said “I made wine, but I am not who says if wine is served or not.” How many projects have you done in your life that proud takes control of you when somebody says: “thanks for your project, but it is not time to do it? Jesus was not like that. Jesus said “take it to the master of the feast. I have done it, it is his matter to be served.”

Do what you are asked to do. Whatever they do with it is not your business. You must learn who must do what in life. Do your own work, give it, and wait to see what happens. Jesus had quality control. Do you have somebody to control the quality of the things you do? I have quality control people in my life. Most of you don’t have the humbleness to ask your boss how your work is doing. Less you ask it to a subordinate of yours. That is why things are not going well, you don’t have a master of the feast. To have a master of the feast you need to be humble. Jesus knew the quality of the wine he made, but he sent it to be judged by the person who knew about wine.
